Growth reflections writing

Hello everyone!

How is your week going? Did we practice being more confident in the spaces we are currently occupying? Let me know below!

Today I want to talk about gratitude… this was inspired by a lovely impromptu brunch I attended last weekend. I was surrounded by 22 intelligent, creative, strong & passionate women.

We were all asked to share something(s) we were grateful for last year and as I listened to all the women speak about their different experiences and how it led them back to gratitude I was amazed.

Life is full of surprises and the sun doesn’t always come out the next morning, our cloudy days get even cloudier and the rain just won’t go away. Lol! Despite it all our strength should always lie in the fact that there is always light at the end, there is a lesson in every situation and gratitude to be felt & expressed.

When you think about it, no matter how bad things can get there will always be something to be grateful for. Living life with a constant lense of gratitude just makes everything better. You find that you complain less and your mind overflows with positive feelings and thoughts.

So next time everything seems to be crashing down, don’t forget that gratitude is a surefire way to get out of the situation fast.

Some things I’m grateful for:

1. Amazing friends & family

2. My job

3. Good health

What are you grateful for this year? Please share in the comments below!

My dearest Fike,

That was a beautiful.

When you go through real turmoil in life and you come out smiling and shining then you have to be grateful. Also being content with ones life and ones lot are s the icing on the cake.

For the very very little mundane things in life I am ever so grateful. People marvel at the way I am able to shrug of things and just keep moving. Why? I think it’s my deeply entrenched faith that all will be well. After the storm there must be a calm.

That’s a really positive attitude to be grateful. Add contentment and nothing can phase you.

Thank you for this thought provoking piece 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

I’m grateful for good health, for my family and God. The fact that He’s relentless in his pursuit for me. It’s amazing to see how much we’ve grown when we look back.
I remember reading a scripture during my quiet time this week that “God is working in us to enable us do what pleases Him”. It made me realise that even when He is silent, it doesn’t mean He’s not working or He doesn’t care. It just means He’s working and all we have to do is be grateful for what He has done and wait for His manifestation ❤️

Thanks for this Fiks ❤️✨

Beautiful Fike
My favorite saying is Ka sha Ma dupe (meaning let’s always give thanks or be grateful)
The Bible says in all things let us give thanks. No matter how bad the situation may be there will always be a reason to be thankful.
I am thankful for the Father I have. The Almighty God. In who I put all my trust in. I am thankful for my faith in Him that keeps me calm and focused in the most difficult situations.

Thank You Father😘

I had to practice a month of gratitude, no complains. It wasn’t easy but it created a new level of self awareness and heloed me recognize my patterns.

Imagine being in Lagos traffic and not complaining instead be grateful for being in a good car, good health that enables me sit for long, my phone that keeps me company, my driver for being rational in the madness, for lastma officials for their efforts, for being in Nigeria Lagos not Syria where any traffic may be bombed ….

By practicing gratitude I could see options and possibilities. It was awesome

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this Fike.

Hello Fike. I am grateful for the gift of my children. I am grateful for all my physical systems that still work day in day out, keeping me alive to fight or celebrate another day. I am grateful that I have reading glasses at my disposal and as such I am still able to enjoy reading and writing. I imagine thousands of people exist in this same city with the same eye issues as mine but can’t afford help. And my goodness, I’m so grateful for the opportunity to read such a lovely reminder of gratitude from you today, making me realise the legion of blessings available to me. 🙂
